What Can I Sell on eBay For Profit? Part 1
Selling on eBay to make a profit can be very fun once you get the hang of what you’re doing.
The hardest part about wanting to sell on eBay is that you do not always know what items to sell. That is what I created this series to help you with 3 to 5 items that I know will sell for a profit (if you are to buy them for a cheap enough price).
Levis Pearl Snap Button Shirts
Levis is a well-known brand for jeans but they also sell very valuable shirts. The more valuable shirts are the “Pearl snap” button ones. These types of shirts are in demand, which is why they sell more than others. Pearl snap buttons make the shirts look unique. I’m not sure exactly why these are sought after but I know they can be sold relatively easy.
Here is an example of a pearl snap button.
Notice the button can be snapped into place which will keep the shirt in place. They are easy to spot when you are looking through shirts on the rack. Pick these up when you see them!
I would recommend listing it around $25 to $30 depending on the condition. Also use the “best offer” option to let buyers know that you are willing to negotiate on the price.
I would offer free shipping on this because the shirt will probably ship first class (13 ounces or less) and buyers love to see that free shipping label. The price of shipping will cost at most $3.38.
Pendleton Wool Shirts (Elbow Patches)
Pendleton is very valuable brand that is highly sought after on eBay. If you come across this brand and notice it is a wool shirt, I would buy it after inspecting it. These shirts mean money! I absolutely love this brand of shirts; more specifically the Pendleton wool shirts with the elbow patches.
Personally, I have not found a Pendleton shirt with an elbow patch on the sleeves but I hope I will soon.
Here is an example of the Pendleton label:
Here is an example of a Pendleton Elbow Patch shirt that sold for 29.99 plus shipping.
The Elbow patches are really easy to spot if you come across one. They usually are not the same color of the shirt so it is really appealing.
I would recommend pricing these from $25 to $40 dollars depending on the condition. Try really hard to find the same exact shirt that you have and price accordingly. I recommend listing it as buy it now with the best offer option.
Since these shirts are wool, they are probably heavier than 13 ounces. I would do priority mail with the real cost of shipping (check the option for calculated shipping).
Patagonia Organic Cotton Shirts
Patagonia is my favorite brand to resell on eBay. Every single Patagonia shirt I have bought has sold on eBay fairly quickly and for good money. I would recommend getting any Patagonia item you find no matter if it is a shirt, shorts or pants. The specific ones that will for more money are the “organic cotton” ones. No worries, it will have “Organic cotton” on the label.
It will look like this:
I would price the shirt at $30 buy it now with the best offer option. If the condition is not the best then lower the price a little. Price these high and wait for the right buyer.
I would ship for free if the item weighs less than 13 ounces. If it weighs more than 13 ounces, charge the real cost of the item and ship it priority mail. Set shipping to international, I’ve had buyers in Canada and Australia buy this brand from me.
Ely Cattleman Embroidered Shirts
Ely Cattleman shirts are very nice. They are mainly western shirts with a point collar and have a really nice design. The specific ones that sell for more money are the embroidered shirts. The embroidery makes the shirt stand out among the others. (Embroidered means a pattern/logo is stitched in the shirt)
Here is an example of some of the embroidered shirts:
I recently picked up one for $4 and hope to get around $25-$30 for it. The sold listings are in the range of $17 to $35. The shirts that sold auction style sold for less than the buy it now listings. I recommend selling this one buy it now and waiting for the right buyer to pay.
I would list with free shipping with these shirts. They are very light weight and can ship at or right under 13 ounces.
This concludes “What can sell on eBay for profit part 1”. Keep an eye for these items. If you can find them under $6, they are a definite buy! .
Have you sold any of these brands? Do you know of any other brands that can be sold on eBay for profit? Let me know in the comments.
